Basco Paints co-sponsored the BORAQS annual one day continuous professional development (CPD) seminar held at the Safari Park Hotel. The event brought together close to 600 architects and quantity surveyors from across the country for the seminar.

Speaking during the morning session, Basco Paints Managing Director, Mr. Kamlesh Shah took the delegates through the Duracoat Silicone range as well as a video demonstration of the properties of the new range. The product was well received by the delegates who went ahead and visited the company stand for further enquiries. A wide range of textured finishes available at the company were also on display at the stand.

The Principal Secretary, State Department of Public Works, Prof. Arch. Paul Maringa was the chief guest at the event and acknowledged the support that Basco Paints has continuously shown towards the government and membership bodies in the construction industry. The theme of the seminar was “Procurement laws and their effect on the construction industry,” which was well tackled by the Public Procurement Oversight Authority (PPOA).

Present at the event was the co-sponsor Tile and Carpet’s Director, Mr. Kushal Sangrajka, BORAQS Chairman, Arch. Nathan Kureba, NCA Chairman, Architect Stephen Oundo, AAK President, Arch. Waweru Gatheca, IQSK Chairman, Q.S. Andrew Mandere among other top officials in the construction industry. The event also doubled up as a graduation ceremony for the 2015 candidates who sat for professional exams before being registered by the board. The next BORAQS seminar will be held in September 2016.
