Shah hospital have over the years lived up to their mandate of providing sustainable health care at an affordable cost and these new initiatives will enable them to do much better in the years to come.” He added that it was indeed a noble objective as the hospital had confirmed that providing treatment to the needy is a priority and does not hinge on whether the individual has the money to pay for the treatment. He reiterated that his family was proud to have played a role in such an endeavor.

The beautiful state of the art, ultra modern ward has seven fully equipped private rooms for children aged between 2-16 years. The Suryakala Maganlal Chandaria Children’s Medical Centre is home to the Baby Wellness Clinic, Pediatric ICU and three pediatric wards as well as a Vegetarian Catering Unit. The project was motivated by the Jain Social Group and seeks to address the global challenge of over 10 million children under the age of 5 who die each year due to various health challenges in developing countries. The facility is the second in Kenya there being only one other children’s hospital in Kenya.
