Tucked away in the heart of Kitengela is Enkaviti Primary School, the leading public primary school in the county for the last three years. The background of most students in the school is that of abject poverty and struggle. Majority of the students are from a nearby slum while another group of sponsored students belong to a nearby children’s home managed by Catholic nuns.

Basco Paints learnt about the plight of Enkaviti Primary School from a leading dealer, Kitengela Paints & Hardware. The paints for the school and dormitories were donated and the Kitengela Painters Association joined in the effort to make the day a success. Over 20 painters volunteered their skills and time to repaint the school free of charge.

On completion of the repainting, the Headmaster on behalf of the board and management thanked Basco Paints, Kitengela Paints & Hardware and the Kitengela Painters Association for the generous gesture of repainting the needy school. Salim Shebe, Basco Paints Team Leader appreciated the school for the opportunity to carry out a corporate social responsibility (CSR) activity and touch the young student’s lives.
