KENYATTA NATIONAL HOSPITAL VALENTINES INITIATIVE

Basco Products (K) Limited has been heavily committed in activities that are geared towards improving the lives of Kenyans through various initiatives. It was with this background that Basco Paints visited the Kenyatta National Hospital Children’s Cancer Ward on the 14^th of February 2019   as part of the regular CSR activities on Valentine’s Day to spread an air of cheer, love and hope to both mothers and children admitted at the ward.

Basco Paints donated foodstuffs as well as electronics for the paediatric oncological patients admitted at the KNH. Both the children and their mothers elicited emotions of happiness and hope drawing from the good will intent and gratitude that they experienced from this simple act of encouragement. Basco Paints Business Development Manager, Ziad El Khoury mobilized and urged members of the public to visit the institution regularly in order to keep the spirit of hope aflame.

Modelled on the Humanitarian Aid and Health thematic policy, Basco has been heavily involved in provision of Humanitarian Aid with projects of a similar nature having been carried out in the year 2018 geared towards the North Eastern communities that were at the time undergoing drought. Since then, Basco has been involved in raising awareness around issues that affect the community in Kenya to provide a spirit of encouragement and to serve as a reminder of the Resilience and togetherness that is a strong component of the Kenyan community of pooling resources together in times of need.

Basco Paints in this regard, aims at continued efforts towards improving the livelihoods of Kenyans in the future as Basco Paints spreads some colour into the lives of Kenyan citizens and the East African community at large.
